The 16th China (Shenzhen) international logistics and supply chain Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Expo") was held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from September 23 to 25. The Expo is hosted by Shenzhen Logistics and supply chain management association with the theme of "paying equal attention to double circulation and winning the supply chain".
Logistics is one of the pillar industries in Shenzhen. The reporter learned from Shenzhen Transportation Bureau on September 22 that in the first half of this year, the added value of Shenzhen logistics industry reached 114.184 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.37%. By deepening the reform of key links, implementing tax reduction and fee reduction measures, promoting the construction of logistics infrastructure network and focusing on cultivating backbone logistics enterprises, Shenzhen has continuously promoted the improvement of logistics quality and efficiency, providing strong support for ensuring people's livelihood, stimulating market vitality and promoting social and economic development.

Through more than 70 activities such as exhibition, forum exchange, enterprise new product press conference and cross-border e-commerce selection, this Expo will comprehensively display the new technologies, achievements, business forms and weather of the global logistics industry chain and supply chain.
The reporter learned that the exhibition area of this Expo is close to 80000 square meters, with 14 core plates. In addition to the original logistics and supply chain services, port shipping, international exhibitors, air freight, road and railway transportation, intelligent logistics / IT information system, (International) express delivery, logistics equipment, new energy vehicles / special logistics vehicles, cross-border e-commerce supply chain and cross-border e-commerce options, three major sectors are added: logistics real estate (storage Park), e-commerce and logistics packaging, and special logistics (dangerous goods / large parts / cold chain). It is expected to attract nearly 2000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions at home and abroad to Pengcheng. This year, both the exhibition scale and the number of exhibitors reached a record high.

Data show that in the first half of 2021, the added value of Shenzhen logistics industry reached 114.184 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.37%. The city's investment in transportation, warehousing and postal industry increased by 27.6% year-on-year, with an average growth of 20% in two years. Over the same period, Shenzhen Port completed a cargo throughput of 137.5158 million tons and a container throughput of 13.7649 million TEUs, with a year-on-year increase of 20.36% and 24.31% respectively. The international liner routes from Shenzhen port can reach more than 300 ports in more than 100 countries and regions. The steady operation of the port has strongly supported the export-oriented economic development of Shenzhen and injected power into the new business form of cross-border e-commerce.
In the first half of the year, Shenzhen Airport achieved 614700 tons of cargo and mail throughput, with a year-on-year increase of 25.26%, ranking in the forefront of the country's one million ton cargo and mail airports. It is reported that since this year, Shenzhen airport has optimized and improved six types of freight business, successively opened the import and customs transfer channels of ordinary goods, express, duty-free goods, cross-border e-commerce and other goods at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, opened the mixed board and real order operation of international ordinary goods and express, and opened the two-way logistics channels of Qianhai and Nansha freight stations.
In terms of railways, centering on the Pinghu Hunan railway logistics base, Shenzhen is accelerating the construction of a national logistics hub for trade and service, stably operating the "bay area code" China Europe train, and striving to play a greater role in the construction of the "the Belt and Road".

It is reported that Shenzhen has thoroughly implemented the management measures for the identification of key logistics enterprises in Shenzhen, and implemented subsidy projects such as interest discount for key logistics enterprises in Shenzhen, one-time reward for key logistics enterprises in Shenzhen and intelligent express box. In 2020, the special fund for Shenzhen modern logistics industry helped enterprises reduce logistics costs by about 200 million yuan. By 2020, the number of key logistics enterprises in the city has exceeded 100. As the cradle of China's supply chain innovation, Shenzhen takes the lead in the development of supply chain. The market value of listed logistics supply chain enterprises exceeds 300 billion yuan, accounting for more than 30% of the same industry in China, ranking first in China. In 2021, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of industry and information technology and other 8 units jointly announced the first batch of 10 national supply chain innovation and application demonstration cities, and Shenzhen was successfully selected.
